Modernising data centre infrastructure to power future banking

Global, Mar 31, 2025

Overview

One of Brazil’s leading private banks needed to continue its technology transformation journey, with a particular focus on modernising and optimising the architecture of its three data centres. The objective was to increase agility, drive innovation, and maintain a strong competitive position in an evolving financial services market.

Selecting the right partner required more than a proven track record of successful delivery within major financial institutions: it required trust. Based on its deep understanding of the bank’s business, objectives, and operational environment, Logicalis was chosen to support this strategic initiative.

The solution

Logicalis played a key consultancy role, conducting a comprehensive assessment of the bank’s data centre environment, including both physical and logical infrastructure. The goal was to identify outdated or underutilised systems, resources, and equipment to determine the most effective architecture for a more efficient, agile, and future-ready environment.

The data centre infrastructure was thoroughly evaluated and inventoried. Recommendations focused not only on improving processing performance and modernising installed technologies, but also on optimising space utilisation to accommodate additional workstations and support future growth.

To deliver the project, Logicalis assembled a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled specialists who worked closely with the bank’s internal teams. Through this collaborative approach, a complete and accurate assessment of the technology landscape was developed, resulting in a detailed physical and logical infrastructure roadmap that will continue to guide future transformation initiatives.

Benefits

By identifying and analysing outdated and underutilised resources, systems, and equipment, the bank gained a comprehensive view of its technology estate. This visibility enabled the organisation to make informed decisions about the most effective path for modernising and optimising its technology architecture in line with changing market demands.

With its data centre infrastructure and systems fully assessed and documented, the bank is now better positioned to support future growth while achieving improvements in operational efficiency, agility, integration, and innovation.
