Despite women making up 50% of the UK workforce, only 24% hold roles in the tech industry. Research from McKinsey highlights that women also tend to have shorter careers in tech, leaving at nearly twice the rate of men. This disparity stems from a range of factors, including:

  • Cultural and structural barriers within companies that limit progression opportunities.
  • Stereotypes and early discouragement in education that dissuade girls from pursuing STEM careers.
  • Lack of visible role models in tech leadership positions.

Listen as Dina Knight, Chief People Officer at Logicalis, discusses how Logicalis is determined to play its part in tackling this problem by actively challenging bias and creating an inclusive and engaging workplace for female talent.
