IBM Beacon Awards Recognize IBM Business Partners for Driving Business Value with Smart, Innovative Solutions
NEW YORK, February 11, 2014 – Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed services provider (www.us.logicalis.com), today announced it has been named a winner of a 2014 IBM Beacon Award in the Outstanding Competitive Solution category. Each year, this honor is awarded to a select number of IBM Business Partners who have delivered exceptional solutions to drive business value and transform the way their clients and industries do business.
“Logicalis is honored to have received this important award which recognizes our focus and commitment to bringing cost-effective and reliable technology solutions to our customers,” says John Iffert, Senior Director, IBM Solutions, Logicalis US. “In this dynamic industry, customers are continually searching for optimal services and IT offerings, and Logicalis is dedicated to bringing them innovative solutions from IBM. Winning the IBM Beacon Award for Outstanding Competitive Solution underscores our ability to provide the right IBM solutions to meet the unique needs of our enterprise clients.”
Logicalis has created a blueprint for IT transformation that guides customers from a component-based architecture along a roadmap that includes virtualization, protection services, automation and orchestration, and finally, the cloud. This IT Transformation Journey ultimately led to Logicalis receiving IBM’s prestigious Beacon Award this year. One important example of how Logicalis has used this IT Transformation Journey to help a client transform the way it does business is Marketing Associates.
Marketing Associates is a technology-driven analytics (big data) managed services and marketing services provider that hosts web sites and analytics applications for its clients from the company’s 2,100-square-foot data center. The organization was looking for recommendations for the right managed services environment moving forward. Logicalis recommended IBM Power Systems servers, including IBM AIX Enterprise Edition, IBM PowerVM Enterprise Edition, and IBM Tivoli Monitoring software.
“Using Logicalis’ IT Transformation Journey as a springboard for discussions about what we needed now and where we wanted to be tomorrow, we were able to work with Logicalis to create a solution that served our client’s business analytics needs and have been continuing to work with Logicalis on projects that will benefit our entire roster of clients over time,” says Andy Frey, CIO, Marketing Associates.
The Beacon Awards are IBM’s premier Business Partner recognition program. Announced at the IBM PartnerWorld Leadership Conference in Las Vegas, and selected by leading industry influencers and IBM executives from among hundreds of nominations, IBM's Beacon Awards recognize IBM Business Partners who have demonstrated business excellence in delivering IBM-based solutions resulting in client transformation and business growth. This year’s awards recognized Business Partner achievements across 27 award categories.
“This year’s Beacon Award winners are Business Partners who have truly demonstrated their ability to develop new, advanced approaches to solving challenges while also transforming the way their clients and industries conduct business,” says Marc Dupaquier, general manager, IBM Global Business Partners. “We’re honored to recognize Logicalisfor winning the Beacon Award in the Outstanding Competitive Solution category and consistently delivering value to our mutual clients.”
