Jens Montanana

Jens Montanana is Chairman of Logicalis International and founder and CEO of its parent company, Datatec, which he established in 1986. 

From 1989 to 1993, Jens served as Managing Director and Vice-President of US Robotics (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of US Robotics, Inc., which was later acquired by 3Com in 1997. In 1993, he co-founded the US-based start-up Xedia Corporation, which was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1999.

Following Datatec’s listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in 1994, Jens held the dual role of Chairman and CEO until 2001, when the company introduced an independent non-executive Chair position. He continues to lead Datatec as CEO and chairs the boards of its major subsidiaries: Logicalis International Limited, Logicalis Latin America, and Westcon International Limited.
