The idea

We wanted to document the reality, not the theory.

93.6% of organisations have ambitions for AI, very few have the foundations required to turn those ambitions into reality. Our goal was to create a practical roadmap for organisations looking to harness AI at scale. But before we could guide others, we knew we had to walk the path ourselves. So we became Customer Zero.

We set out to build AI within our own organisation and document every step of the journey. Not just the successes, but the difficult decisions, unexpected obstacles, breakthrough moments and expertise required to move AI from concept to production.

And so, The Road to AI was born.

The vision

It started with a sketch.

The vision was ambitious: to build a secure, scalable AI platform capable of unlocking innovation while maintaining the governance, security and control expected of a global organisation.

What began as a simple blueprint quickly evolved into something much bigger.
Over six months, our teams worked to transform an idea into reality. Cameras followed the journey from whiteboard sketches and architectural designs to critical technology decisions, setbacks and breakthrough moments.

What started as an ambitious concept soon became a true test of technology, teamwork and determination.

The blueprint was only the beginning. What happened next is revealed in Episode 1.

Where the journey begins

The ambition was clear: build a secure, enterprise-ready AI platform.

The reality was far more complex.

Filmed in Frankfurt in April 2026, Episode 1 introduces the team and the vision as they take their first steps on the road to AI, navigating technical challenges, organisational change and critical decisions that would shape everything that followed.

The blueprint is no longer a sketch.
The AI Pod is built.

Filmed in Cologne, Episode 2 captures the moment the technology becomes tangible. Infrastructure, data, security and AI services come together as the team transforms an ambitious concept into a working platform.

But building the technology is only the beginning.

The next challenge is preparing it for customers, proving its value, and ensuring it is ready for the real world.
