Slough, UK, 1 May 2012 – Logicalis Group, the
international IT solutions and managed services provider, has
agreed to acquire Corpnet, a Brisbane-based solution provider, from
e-Business Systems Ltd. Corpnet provides data centre, cloud
and managed services solutions to the Queensland mid-sized and
enterprise markets. The acquisition consideration is comprised of
$2.7m on completion with an additional potential earn-out payment
of $0.6m.
This acquisition enables Logicalis to become a significant
player in the Queensland market, primarily in the Finance, Mining
and Construction and Travel sectors, and builds upon Logicalis’
existing data centre and managed services expertise. Corpnet
has strong storage and virtualisation expertise and has built its
cloud-based services to deliver Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS),
as well as Managed Backup and DR-as-a-Service offerings that
complement Logicalis’ managed services portfolio.
Corpnet was founded in 2001 and later merged
with e-Business Systems Ltd in 2008. Since its founding, the
company has grown to achieve annualised revenues of approximately
$20 million and become one of the leading datacentre services and
managed services providers in Queensland. Corpnet holds the highest
level of certification with EMC and is EMC’s largest storage
reseller in Queensland. The company’s datacentre vendor
accreditations also include Cisco, Hitachi, VMware and
Commvault.
