Cosí owns and operates 66 restaurants in 11 states and the District of Columbia called Cosí and Cosí Downtown. The company is focused on providing its customers with a special environment to meet, celebrate, have a morning coffee, or simply relax.
The Challenge
For several years, Cosí utilized the services of an ASP that owned the financial application licenses and application platform that Cosí was using to run its business. With the pending financial failure of the ASP looming, Cosí's financial data crucial to the day-to-day running of business would soon be inaccessible. Additionally, many other important systems (e-mail, file/print, network) would also be affected. Cosí needed to replace the ASP quickly, without interrupting service to its end users. Cosí also needed to reduce risk.
The Solution

Today, Logicalis Managed Services monitors and manages Cosí's leased HP-UX servers running Oracle Financials, WAN gear, storage area network, and 9 Windows servers running other applications including Cosí's Microsoft Exchange environment. Cosí was able to eliminate the single point of failure they had experienced with their ASP, thereby significantly reducing risk while receiving best-in-class service.
